NDUMISO LINDI

Cape Town’s loss is Joburg’s gain!  Ndumiso moved to Johannesburg in 2010 and made an immediate impact, not least among a few  seasoned comics who know a serious contender for the comedy crown when they see it. The corporate market is fast getting to grips with this outstanding young talent on the circuit.

Ndumiso grew up in  Zwelitsha, a small township next to King Williams Town in the Eastern Cape.  He was head copy writer in a top advertising agency, fighting the comedy bug since his days as a graphic design student in Cape Town. The “Comedy All Stars” took him on board and a few months later he won a trip to London as the best newcomer in the “Red Bull Comedy All Stars Comedy Challenge”.

There’s no keeping a good comic down, and he finally accepted his fate, gave up his day job in advertising and turned pro when repeat bookings and headline comedy performances at major comedy festivals made it impossible to do both.

He’s a regular headliner now at national comedy festivals and was the only South African headline comic in the line-up of  international comedy stars at the Nando’s Comedy Festival - Teatro in July 2011.  He was the headline closing act at the International Comedy Festival, Baxter Cape Town, in 2008, of which Organiser Impresario Eddie Cassar says “He’s a must! He has no baggage, uses no bad language and his material is fresh. Imagine, for a comic to follow Marc Lottering, and bring the house down …. Ndumiso does that, night after night.”

Corporate videos can do all of this for a fraction of the cost, as the film becomes a contained medium through which a company's message or product becomes accessible to a wider audience in a shorter period of time. more info »
