The  Tshwane Gospel Choir is an upcoming music ensemble of musically talented youth from predominantly Tshwane and from Africa, including Congo, Ghana & Zimbabwe. Launched in 2010, the main purpose of the choir was  to develop young people and give them a platform to showcase their talent. Their debut album was nominated in 4 categories in the Crown Gospel Awards and the Metro FM Awards respectively.

The choir was approached in 2012 by highly acclaimed artists in the gospel industry, Rebecca Malope & Joe Niemand, to collaborate on live dvd recordings at the State Theatre & The Coca Cola Dome.

Tshwane Gospel Choir is focused on being a pioneer in original music with an offering of African Urban Gospel. Their debut album, Modimo wa Mehlolo, was  launched at the State Theatre. The album is a mix of traditional and newly composed songs with unique African sounds. The album caters to various target markets in terms of age, language and social class. The title track ‘Modimo Wa Mehlolo’ is a fusion of Sepedi and Zambian dialects, with a mellow samba beat. The signature song ‘Melodi Ya Tshwane’ is up-tempo, with energetic African sounds.’ Jesu Uthandolwako’ is a harmonius blend of two youthful voices. ‘Halleluya & Nimwemwe’ fuse local and African languages also in an effort to embrace Africa as a whole, with ‘Nimwemwe’ amplifying and showcasing the beauty of the guitar. Songs like ‘Righteous Banner’, ‘In-Control’,  ‘Unity’ and the emotion stirring favourite ‘Amazing Grace,’ led by a young blind man, cater to the English speaking market.

By virtue of the youth of the choir, the choreography is energetic.

The choir believes strongly in community upliftment with special focus on youth and primary school children. Among the social responsibility projects are interventions like donating school shoes in Limpopo, running soup kitchens in North West, renovating Childline offices, supporting 20-childheaded families in Winterveld and providing ‘Groceries for Life’ to Ontlametse Phalatse, the girl with the ageing disease from Hebron, Pretoria.

The Tshwane choir will put together an act to suit any size or style of event, from Three and a Half Tenors to mixed groups and from lively to quiet background, not that such glorious sound can stay background at any event.

Nominated for the 4th Annual Crown Gospel Awards and the 11t Annual Metro FM Awards!

A professionally made corporate video can provide a platform for companies to communicate a message, demonstrate a product in action or express techniques and ideas to staff in an interesting and dynamic way. Corporate videos can do all of this for a fraction of the cost, as the film becomes a contained medium through which a company's message or product becomes accessible to a wider audience in a shorter period of time. more info »
